Revolta is a sustainable proposal
The project aims to involve citizens in decentralized waste management, influencing the modification of consumption habits, respect for the environment and the promotion of quality organic farming.
It proposes to recover the city-agriculture relationship, providing local farmers with the compost that is generated from the organic waste of the citizens. To do so, it incorporates the novelty of an electromagnetic precomposer, located at strategic points in the city, which sanitizes the waste by reducing its volume and stabilizing it. With this system, the waste becomes storable and bad odors and risks of infection are avoided, while saving in transport and making use of ecological compost.

The main advantages of the proposal
- Easy and automated management with weekly emptying.
- Possibility of recycling all organic waste, including meat and fish.
- Unpleasant odorless.
- Reduction of the weight of waste by 80% and consequently also the space it occupies.
- Substantial economic savings for the contractor.
- Reduction of the environmental trace.
In what services is the project specified?
The project can be carried out in various ways: purchase or rental of the machine, training activities on the decomposition process of organic matter and compost, responsible waste management consultancy, advice on CSR, design of community projects or educational projects for schools and highschools.
So what is the Revolta project?
An idea so that the organic waste of the city is going to go directly back to local ecological agriculture and fertilize the fields, through the direct involvement of citizens in their management.
¿How it is going to do?
In a collaborative way, depositing the organic waste from home, school or restaurant in a machine of our own manufacture that starts the composting process, sanitizes the waste and reduces its volume by 80%. Odorless and with sanitary security.
What do you need?
A socket for the machine (maximum consumption of 1.5 Kw) and the possibility of a breathing tube.
How much waste can
the machine handle?
If emptied a couple of times a week, the machine can process up to 35-40 kg of waste per day.
Is it sustainable?
The electrical consumption of the machine is amply compensated by reduced transport, ecological fertilization and a diet promotion’s with a smaller ecological footprint. The machine allows the direct connection of solar energy, a fact that increases its level of environmental and economic sustainability.
How is compost used?
The waste that comes out of the machine has to mature in a pile or a composter to obtain a compost suitable for crops. This second phase of the process can be done in a communal way or the farmer can do it on his farm.
Who promotes it?
The Revolta project is an initiative of Tarpuna SCCL. The name Tarpuna comes from the Quechua word “sow” and we are a cooperative of social initiative and non-profit made by a team of people committed to sustainability, equal opportunities and social justice. Based on sustainability criteria, Tarpuna promotes local and transformative social projects of innovation with the aim of serving the community.
The Revolta machine
Tarpuna has different precompostage machines with different capacities to adapt the mechanical support to the needs of each environment. The machine mostly used by our clients is the VA-K 1501 that can manage between 35-40 Kg of daily waste, is powered by solar energy and has a touch screen. The functioning is simple and logical so that anyone can use it.
